Meet Our Team
Karen Cruess is a speaker, licensed counselor, and educator who helps women step out of the performance mindset and into the deep peace and joy of their God-given identity.
Karen earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and her degree in Psychology from Siena College. Through hundreds of clinical hours, she has helped individuals of all ages find healing. Her background includes helping direct programs at residential treatment facilities for at-risk teen girls in Wyoming and teen mothers in West Virginia, as well as practicing at a Christian counseling group in Northern Virginia.
Recognizing that true restoration requires both psychological and spiritual wholeness, Karen integrates clinical psychology with the healing power of prayer. Her approach is heavily shaped by the teachings of Dr. Bob Schuchts (John Paul II Healing Center), Unbound Ministries, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and the Immanuel Approach.
Karen and her husband, Scott, live in Northern Virginia where they raise their seven children. She is passionate about helping women quiet their minds, regulate their nervous systems, and rest in God’s abiding presence so they can live out their divine mission.
Whether leading weekend-long conferences or intimate private retreats, Karen connects deeply with audiences of all sizes. To invite her to speak at your parish or upcoming event, contact her directly at karen@twoheartsforher.com.
